Manuscript Submissions

We do accept manuscript submissions, both agented and un-agented, for our new trade imprint, Amicus Ink. As we expand our list for the retail market, Amicus Ink will consider nonfiction picture books, fiction picture books, and board books with a “child’s-eye view.” Our books must resonate with toddlers, preschoolers, or early readers and those who read with them. Diverse voices and first-time authors and illustrators are welcome!

Whether fiction or nonfiction, writing and illustrations for Amicus Ink may be conceptual, but not esoteric; they may be humorous, uplifting, and a bit fanciful; they may be informative, but not didactic; and above all, we want a good story worth reading! Illustration styles tend toward contemporary, bright and bold graphic design, fresh and appealing to young kids without being too cartoony.

Please send manuscript submissions via email to:  Response time is typically 3 to 6 months.
